About this variety

Machine-translated, may contain errors.

Jostine is a high yielding further development of the jostaberry with somewhat larger, more aromatic berries than the original 'Josta'. It ripens early in the jostaberry season and, thanks to its even berry size, is pleasant to pick. The bush grows strongly and upright, is thornless and proves robust against mildew and rust. Being self fertile it crops on its own, but it benefits from a second bush nearby.

Full bodied and strongly fruity, with a much clearer currant note than the old Josta. Already good to nibble raw, and aromatic and deep dark in jelly.
